I too like the black, maybe they will add a really big Central Arkansas or a logo on it. I think its looking really good, now they just need to paint all the seats purple, and replace those ugly brown wood bleachers with some new metal ones.

I'm going out to the Center now to see if it's paint or just covering. I'll post some pics if I can get in. :)

Went out there with Erod tonight. The walls ARE painted black along with the baselines and sides. It looks like the theme for the new look is black and purple and gray. =D>

That logo is so HUGE compared to the old one! I love the black!

The new logo looks great. I also like that they chose the orientation so that it'll be "right side up" when shown on the webcast. Can't wait to see it in person!

Is the floor a lot lighter? Or not so orange?
What's the white box at the top of the paint? Temporary?
I'm not sure what I think about the purple border to the paint.

I like the black walls. They aren't as busy as the others. Simple + clean = good. Let's see if they stay that way.

I also noticed the floors are a lot lighter...I wan't sure if they are staying like that or not. I do like the lighter color floors with the black paint though.

The white boxes are probably just temporary...that should be where the SLC logo goes from the old pictures.

Now if we could only get a new scoreboard with video...

It's getting close...I'm not sure what to think about the purple strips along the paint either. It is more clear now that the white boxes are some kind of logo or decal.

Yeah, if you look closely at the bottom picture you can see the word Southland bleeding through in the white areas in the lanes. Anywhere you see white paper laid down is going to be some sort of logo - there aren't going to be random white areas on the court.

I love the purple along the sides of the lane. Adds color, frames it up nicely, makes it a little more prominent, and having the blocks (where you line up for free throws) inside there will probably look better than just having them sticking out from the lane into the non-painted area. Keeps it cleaner, I think.

Looks like they are darkening part of the floor too... thank God they filled the bears head in I thought it was looking kinda dumb there for a minute.

Also looks like bear paws in the corners... nice touch if you ask me. Side note, I can't believe all the Pippen banners are still up.

Might as well get used to them as they are staying up as I understand it.

Maybe I've missed something. Why wouldn't they?

The white squares by the free throw lines have the Southland logo in them. I saw that in person the other night. I like the graphic bear head in the center court too. Nice touch for all the redesigns. =D>
