We all know that HBU was to say the least horrible last year...but this
is a new year, and they are surely a improved team. It's also a long
trip to Houston to a venue the Bears have never seen before.

Lets hope the team keeps their focus and takes care of this one from the
start. UCA needs to handle this one in short order. This could be one
of those trap games...can't overlook these guys.

Hopefully, the Bears learned their lesson last year at Plano/ACU. I feel confident that this years seniors and the coaches realize this is a business trip and will be ready to play. The Bears can't get where they want to go by overlooking anyone.

"Keep getting better every week!"

Has there been a change in tv coverage? Schedules show ASN (KATV ALT 171) as the airer. I checked ahead to Saturday @ 2:30 and there is no football listed. Also looked at the usual channel (148) and no go either. Anyone know?

This is all that has been posted for the past several weeks. Suspect it is solid.

Happened to be on campus today and went to Bearbackers.....

Brad Teague basically repeated the television information that is listed above. If you live in Conway and get Conway Corporation Cable, the game will be on channel 171 and if your in Little Rock it will be on KATV's subcarrier, channel 7.2 . There was no other mention of Direct TV or other providers. Hope this helps.

HBU is 2-3 with wins over Bethany (51-7) and College of Faith (65-0). In between they lost at home to Northern Colorado (34-10), at Abilene Christian (49-21) and at Sam Houston State (63-14).

ACU is probably the best game to look at. The Wildcats led only 21-14 at half and trailed 14-7 mid Q2. Abilene won Q3 by 21-0 and put it away. Some game stats below:

HBU vs ACU

Rushing: 35-208/42-185
Passing: 9-22-2-74/20-28-0-242
KO Returns: 7 with 18 avg/3 with 37 avg
3rd down: 2-11/9-13

Punter avg 48+ and KOs avg 57 yds

Terrnace Peters ran 13/112 for 8.6 avg and BJ Kelly ran 13/93 for 7 yd avg

Garrett Dolan led defense with 11 tackles

Home attendance avgs about 3000

So if you are on DISH network...what channel is it?

I may have misunderstood, but Brad left the impression that it was not available on Dish or Direct TV. That was the way I took it.

No disrespect (don't you love it when people say that) but honestly if we don't win this game by 5 or more touchdowns it will be disappointing. I mean if you noticed we won by 10 TDs last year at home so figure they will be twice as tough so knock off 5 of those...if Sammy scored 63 on them...this game shouldn't be close and it is one of the FEW we can say that about. Seriously.

My prediction is we will score 28 in the first quarter.

If I'm wrong oh well, I mean they have done NOTHING to say otherwise.

Statistics are all fine and good, but just remember on any given playing date, the under dog CAN knockoff the heavy favorite.

The Bears SHOULD win Saturday.

Not saying it is going to happen this weekend, but it can happen.
