I found some classic hilarious videos on YouTube that played on the UCA TV station NewsSix a few years ago. During sports, there was a short-lived segment called "A Piece of the Action" with Ian Galloway. Some said it was the funniest thing on Channel 6 at the time. I don't know about that, but they're pretty fun to watch.

The basic idea is that this guy, Ian, takes a UCA player of whatever sport and then learns how to do something. He's not very good at it and ends up hurting himself every time. Goon.

This is a great idea. Channel 6 sports can always use as many new ideas as possible! The more ideas to showcase the department, the better. Some of those were really good ideas. I can definitely see doing more in the future.

If I remember correctly, those were all shot with a single camera, meaning that when you see it cut, that was all done from another take. Some well done stuff.


Also, if you watch all of the Zak Clark video, you'll notice that Ian got destroyed by Chad Taylor. And that hit was not fake.
I heard that Ian said to Chad "we're only doing this once, so hit me hard the first time." Chad listened...

Stupid, but hilarious.

I watched a segment about three years and Ian tried to play goalie against one of the men's soccer players and he about got his nose broken. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

I haven't watched them again, but I assume that's part of the Woznicki segment that was linked.

I just watched all of them. Can't believe I never saw those before, and I sorta feel cheated. That's absolutely fantastic stuff.

Maybe Ch. 6 could track that dude down and get him to do more. He's gold.
