Who is ready for the opener?

Anybody get to watch the Montana win over North Dakota State this weekend to open the college football season? Quite a way for the #13 Grizzlies to start off their new coach's record, hold NDSU to only 7 in Q2 and win on the last play.........

Bears normally play well on the road and this is a game to win with good play....Samford Coach Hatcher TV interview after practice on Sunday...proclaimed UCA as one the best team they will play all season....I doubt if we would measure up to Louisville but maybe all the others (Furman and Wofford would be good games) on their schedule....

I do not believe we have played Samford in football but we are 2-0 against Hatcher when he was at Murray State........winning 21-20 in Conway in 2010 and by 42-20 in 2012 at Murray.......Racers ran 77 plays to our 63 in 2010 as Jackie Hinton scored on a 22 yard run with 4:21 to go after an 11 play 81 yard drive with Eddie Carmona kicking the winning point..........Murray revved it up in 2012 with 97 plays vs 72 but the Bears (Smothers) threw for 5 TDs (Croom, Lewis, Garndy, Lasker, Hart) was 4-4 in the red zone (Racers were 0-6) and picked 3 passes....

We are READY!!!

Gonna pack up the Tahoe tonight and hit the road early Thursday morning. Planning to tailgate and get excited to watch them Bears. I have no doubt that they will BRING IT!!

Samford returns a lot of talent from a decent team. New coach promises to unleash that offensive potential. Until I see something different from the D, UCA better score early and often.
